Builders Merchant Federation 

We are proud members of the Builders Merchant Federation (BMF). They are the only trade association that represents and supports builders’ merchants, suppliers, and manufacturers in the building and construction industry.

They maintain close ties with allied industry groups and regulatory bodies, such as trading standards and planning departments, swiftly addressing issues affecting its members. With an active lobbying role in local and central governments across England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, the BMF ensures effective representation.

They also play a pivotal role in enhancing training and career development within the sector. Through a comprehensive range of programmes, workshops, and resources, the BMF fosters skill development, knowledge enrichment, and professional growth among individuals in the building and construction industry. 

The National Buying Group

As a founder member of the National Buying Group, the UK’s largest building materials buying consortium. The group was created in 2003 and is a partnership of independent merchants throughout the UK.
